When we think of Pinball games, we think of those classics in the arcades with the ringing bells, pretty bumpers and flashing lights, but game developer Hudson, has come out with their new title, Alien Crush Returns for the Nintendo Wii. The pinball game which is designed around the gross insides of an alien life, features two game play modes. Arcade mode allows for you to jump right into the action and choose any 1 of the 3 different tables to play on. There is also a Story mode where you advance from table to table by completing different missions, whether it be defeating aliens or attacking and killing the boss monster.
Instead of your regular metal ball slug in today’s pinball games, there are 3 “Action” balls. The first ball gives you a super burst of speed, the second gives you a burst of speed as well, but in the opposite direction it was traveling and the third is the multi-ball mode. As the name says, you get the control multiple balls for a short period of time. Only the first two balls are available in the arcade mode though. All actions are controlled by the WiiMote, which could make game play actually more fun for everyone.
The game is now available in Japan but will come to the United States one of these days (release date period is still unknown). After seeing the images in this game, it took me some time to figure out what was really going on because I was so grossed out by the internal working of the alien life form. However, if you are into those sort things and like aliens or just like seeing guts and flesh, this is the pinball game for you.
