Wii or commonly pronounced wee is the most happening thing in the computer gaming world. Nintendo’s Wii Remote design is simple and very effective to use. By doubling up the Wii remote, you now have the potential to revolutionize a multitude of computer games. An independent engineer literally thought out of the box and came up with the idea of developing virtual reality head tracking system using the Wii remote!
This system lets the user almost literally get inside the computer screen as well as see targets behind. As a matter of fact, targets pop out of the screen realistically. I think this radical ‘invention’ will change the world of computer games forever. Using this particular system the displays will look more like windows and less like pictures. So, things will actually come out of the frame or rather a box.The following video shows how this works.
This technology can be used along with sensor mounted nvidia’s glasses and used to play driving simulators, shooting games and a host of other computer games. This is yet another innovative Wii project undertaken by Johnny Chung Lee. Keeping in mind that Lee’s system is cheap, Nintendo should consider creating something similar to it.
