All the game junkies would be well aware that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is en route to a screen adaptation. And to confirm that the work is indeed in progress, Huffington Post has managed to get some (read two) clear photos of a shirtless Jake Gyllenhaal; who, by the way, is cast as Prince Dastan. Jake is seen in full glory of his costume, fans would know that it essentially means little by way of shirts. Anyway female gamers would be happy enough. Disney’s adaptation is being directed by Mike Newell and is about a price, who in conjunction with a rival princess, fights off an angry ruler about to unleash a devastating sandstorm on the world. Starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal are Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley (no less) and Alfred Molina. These images have been long time coming – last time we got a look at Jake was in August 2008 – but have got get us really interested in the shooting.
