Ziff Davis Media's Game Group's John Davison, made three predictions for the PlayStation 3 launch in the Official PlayStation Magazine.

He says:
a) The PS 3 will be launched in November in the US, as Sony can't afford to give Microsoft 2 holiday seasons for the Xbox 360. It won't cost more than 399.99 as Microsoft actually created a kind of price precedent with the Xbox 360 (they are actually selling them at a price lower than the production prize).
b) The Dualshock 3 will be like the PlayStation 2 controllers. The much touted boomerang Dualshock design isn't simply gonna accommodate for battery pack.
c) There won't be many games at launch, and most of them wouldn't utilize the full power of PS 3 and only by E3 2007 we will be able to see what he called the real 'jaw-droppers'
Well, the predictions are all right. But then, with the state of affairs now surrounding the PS 3, the last prediction could have been made by every Tom, Dick and Harry. As far as the first prediction is concerned, well, even if Sony sets the price at less than 400 dollars, it will invite trouble. At least it should be prepared to give up one thing for the other - either delay the launch or set the price right at least.
