For the PS3 fans of Katamari autumn will bode well. That huge ball of crap will start rolling yet again in what’s poised to be the biggest Katamari ever. Katamari Forever has been announced by Namco Bandai and it is slated for a release in autumn ‘09 on European PSN. This issue will bring largest number of stages, game modes and remixed classic Katamari Damacy tunes. Fans will also get a new storyline. The objective will be the same however: Prince’s Katamari is to be rolled into a ball of humongous proportions. The story starts off as the King of Cosmos looses his memory and slips into a coma. The prince is then asked to roll his way to restore planetary bodies and recreate King’s memories. Katamari Forever is in a sense return to the original Katamari Damacy, albeit with great improvements. One of these – availability of different visual filters: wood, comic or pencil shading – sounds just lovely. Rounding off the list of features are local cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes; all in order for everyone to get a little taste of what wackiness the Japanese can create on the gaming scene.
