Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi in an interview with Gamsutra says that he is too much excited about the Nintendo Wii. He finds it a funny controller. He feels that the controller wont have that much of influence on the enjoyment of the game. When questioned about whether he is comfortable with the success of Katamari Damacy in the US he delightfully says that he finds it mysterious. When he was nominated for Game Developer Choice Awards for the title it seemed truly astonishing to him. Now he is happy that the series has ended. He strongly feels that Namco is still a viable franchise and it will probably continue.
