Joystiq ran a story a couple of days back. It highlighted the success of Killzone 2, which has sold over 500,000 units in its first month on shelves. This makes Killzone 2 the highest-selling SCEA PS3 title in its opening 30 days. That as it may be, we are sure to receive more overwhelming numbers soon enough. And the reason behind that may be the DLC that’s set to be provided by Guerilla Games before April ends. Herman Hulst, Managing Director at Killzone 2’s developers revealed this in an interview on Gametrailers TV. He said the pack that’s supposed to go live this month will deliver two new multiplayer maps. Christened “Steel & Titanium”, this pack will comprise of two multiplayer maps: Vektra Cruiser and Wasteland Bullet. Former is a vertically-oriented arena set in an ISA tech cruiser: “New Sun”, while the latter consists of two freight trains with players allowed hopping to and fro. Hulst went on to claim that another map pack bearing the tag of “retro” is in the making. Are they bringing back some original Killzone stuff? Who knows? This just keeps getting better. Pricing and other details will be updated here when they come out.
