The first Metal Gear Online pack, Gene Expansion, will have a survival game mode, three new maps and two extra playable characters, according to details released by Konami. The official MGO site reveals that the expansion pack also provides an extra character slot. Players can don their characters in the latest gear with the help of reward points earned in the Survival mode. The game has been designed to include wide streets, underground passages and rooftop areas, which make it possible for close and medium, range combat. At the push of a button you can disarm traps and turn them into items. Gene Expansion hits the stores in Japan on June 17, though the prices haven’t been announced yet.
