The video game market is saturated with the war game titles and still the war games are selling like hot piece of cake. The two recently released titles Call of Duty 3 and Gears of War are doing pretty well over Xbox360 platform as recently alleged by NPD that war title Gears of War has become the top seed after outselling all hot gaming titles like Princes Zelda and FF XII. Gears of War has sold out more than 1 million copies in the North US in Nov month while FF XII and Nintendo’s Princess Zelda 896,000 and 412,000 copies in the same time period.
Recently words on the sales figures are saying that Gears of War has reported one more milestone with selling more than 2 million in just six weeks after its launch, around the globe. Before this Microsoft is boasting its grand success over Halo 2 after slashing down it to position 2 (consecutive two year unbeaten Arcade game title). War game has earned all these laurels within just six weeks.
More results are still to come from software sales market and the thing to watch is for how long Gears would maintain its position.
