Imagine getting your first driving lesson, your first driving test and your driver’s license, all without even having to step outside your house. Well this may once have seemed as a fantasy but now has actually come into reality. American car maker Chrysler along with game developer SBK Interactive have churned out a game aimed at teaching teens how to drive. The game is titled ‘Road Ready Street Wise’. Set in a 3D environment, the game is a 3rd person driving simulator that gives learning experience to the players using real-world driving conditions. The game includes five missions which cover the three levels of learning permits recognized by the driver education programs of most states in America. Playing through each level with the given task and mastering the given driving skills of that level is the only way the player can advance to the next level. The player also has the liberty to customize his/her own car in this free downloadable game.
While the idea may sound interesting, some parents however may feel skeptical about actually letting their children behind the wheel of a real car based on the experience learned from a video game!
