Retro gaming is so damn hot this year and this retro game console mod really embodies the spirit of gaming innovators to the max. Stuffing a Nintendo NES 8-bit game system into a light gun controller, the modder GonzoMPM-1 also used a cheap knock-off NOAC (Nintendo on a Chip) system to provide the brains of the operation in order to save on space and power consumption.

The compact design leaves no room for a cartridge slot, so the console can only play the 76 on-board games (and thousands of variants) built into the NOAC board, including light gun classics Duck Hunt and Hogan’s Alley.

With a functional light gun LED, the mod is powered by a set of three AAA batteries.
