A new video has been published showing the “building stage” of the upcoming title Lock’s Quest. The game is simple, you are thrust into the role of an Archineer (architect and engineer) called Lock. Your job is to protect “Source Artifacts” from the evil Lord Agony. To do this, you are required to build a fortress-type structure to house these valuables. You also have to use strategy and careful planning to ensure the fortress is protected since Lord Agony’s army will constantly try to break down your building walls.
You have a wide selection of building materials such as wood, metal and stone to build walls, defense towers and much more. There is also an arsenal of weapons such as glue cannons and quick sands traps, to help in slowing down and hindering your enemy attacks. There are also some puzzle-based missions to challenge some of the more advanced players.
The game also allows for one-on-one combat with your friends via multi-card play. The game, which is built for the Nintendo DS is set for release on the 8th of September and is being developed by 5th Cell and published by THQ’s “Play THQ” division.
Take a look at the gameplay video, showing basically how structures are put together.
