Star Wars is one of the much-rumored Wii games that have been detected on the rumor radar many a times. Previously, a thread over at NeoGaf Forum kicked off a good enough debate claiming that the ‘Star Wars’ series creator George Lucas is developing the ‘lightsaber game’ for the Wii.

This time it is Gamasutra, who has sparked the debate alleging LucasArts is contemplating a ‘Wii lightsaber game’ for Wii. Truly, Gamasutra coined its presence at the Hollywood and Games Summit, where it managed a chat with LucasArts’ head about Wii lighsabre game and scooped out this:

We’re all over that, and internally we have already played a lightsaber game on the Wii. It’s a lot of fun, and we’ll get there. There’ll be some stuff out this Fall - it’s going to be a lot of fun.

The words are more or less a ‘green light’ given to the lighsabre game for the Wii as the boss has called it ’some stuff.’ Whether it is Star Wars or entirely a new development is currently vague, but at least we can hope a lightsaber game coming to the Wii around this fall.

Most probably, the game is likely to come as a Wii exclusive title, when it ships to the retailer stores this fall. Hold your breath for the big revelation from LucasArts at E3 Expo.
