On December 5, 2007, a fantasy film based upon Philip Pullman’s novel Northern Lights was released. The film is the adventure of an orphan girl Lyra and her daemon Pantalaimon who live in a parallel universe.
March 27, 2008 will see Lyra’s adventure - the Golden Compass as a new adventure game for PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS. The action game based on the adventure of a girl Lyra will require three players to take charge of Lyra, Byrnison as they try to rescue Lyra’s friend Roger from the General Oblation Board. The Golden compass is however not having a Wii PSP release.
The video game is developed by Shiny Entertainment and published by Sega.
