Madden NFL 07 rules the US market; sells more than 5M

Just one gaming title! More than ten platforms and more than 5 million copies sold in less than five months are certainly astounding figures. The title is Madden NFL 07 by EA developers that was released on 22nd August. The sports title was looking quite aggressive from very starting and did a milestone of 2 million copies in its very first week of debut and geared up the sales figures of the game developer by 12% with reaping a total business of 1.8 million.

Commenting on the great accomplishment of the title EA Sports marketing vice president Todd Sitrin said that Madden NFL 07 is the must-have title that can give next-gen gamers a chance to experience the inbound potency of the gaming consoles.

The holiday season is still on and the lots of results are still to emerge as the holiday purchasing season will catch fire. However 5 million is considerably a great total and the sales of the title is showing the growing popularity of the sports titles instead of war titles.

The data is showing a bit ambiguity as the sales figures were 2 million for the first week but during the holiday season the game could afford just 5 million in around five weeks that could be at least 7 million as per first week performance. Anyway the race is on and many results are under cover yet that will float as the time passes.
