Manhunt 2 fixes will cost Take Two $1 Million: Michael Pachter

The latest Manhunt II controversy has prompted me to compare the game with movie ‘Saw’. In words of critics, Manhunt II is the game that forces you to do what protagonist ‘Lawrence Gordon’ was does in the movie. It seems Take Two has snooped into my article that I did write, yesterday. The publisher had very limited options like either to alter the game content or contest the bans and rating.

Take Two is planning to tone down the M-rated content after both Sony as well as Nintendo’s denial to allow the shipment of M-rated content onto their respective consoles. Though, the move will cost them around $1 million or so but it would be an intelligent despite never receiving the title launch.

Speaking to Gamedaily.biz, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter told that he thinks the title hasn’t yet ruined, completely, it’ll fetch them an extra expenditure of $1 million to get the game well-off. “They won’t be able to generate revenue by this quarter, making the title get backseated, but will make up most of it in a future quarter when the game is released”, he added.

However, officials are presently tight-lipped, but apparently would break the ice with a right decision. Will current infamy affect the sales of game? As, Michael Pachter has rightly said that it’s pretty hard to utter whether or not the controversy would favor title retailing. Keep your fingers crossed!
