Perhaps, scheduling launch date for a new title is like licking the sky with the tongue. Fighting similar dilemma, BioWare has finally scheduled its latest game ‘Mass Effect’ for November 20, 2007 launch. The game had been pining for confirmation of its launch date for long.
Through press release, Microsoft Game Studios and BioWare announced that this years’ most anticipated action RPG ‘Mass Effect’ will ship to retail stores on November 20, 2007 across North America.
Following successful launch of few highly anticipated titles like ‘Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic’ (KOTOR) and ‘Jade Empire’, the developer is on the way to another epic space saga developed exclusively for the Xbox360. Fusing RPG with tactical action element, ‘Mass Effect’ offers a perfect blend of engrossing gameplay through a deep, multidirectional plot.
Placing in the shoes of Commander Shepard (an elite human Spectre agent, who is peacekeeper in the galaxy), you travel through a vast galaxy in order to disclose the secrets and convince other alien species to trust that a huge threat is looming. While cruising through galaxy, you will also attain new weapons, equipment, and armor to rout enemies.
Though, the game follows footsteps of KOTOR, but unique missions and manner in which you take on enemies and accomplish missions makes it outshine former one.
Key Features of the game are:
• Persuading RPG, choice-based gameplay and strenuous galaxy-wide conflict
• Rich and engaging storyline. Players’ decisions and actions will help shape the destiny of all lives in the galaxy. In other words, player is the ultimate destiny-designer of the galaxy.
• The game gives rise to real-time squad based tactical combat system.
• Explore uncharted worlds
• Character customization allows players customize photo-realistic character. Customization of character will have an impact on their performance during gameplay. Equipment, weapons, and armor that are acquired during the course of the story will change the appearance of the characters.
• The game takes advantage of Xbox360’s hardware providing gamers with exciting new experiences, including photo-realistic, HD graphics on a high scale. Support of Xbox Live is another advantage that Mass Effect gloats for.

Underpinned by Unreal Engine 3, Mass Effect will ship exclusively for the Xbox360 on November 20; hope current launch date would not see any deferment.
