A good time for console owners this week, as most of the games are coming to various consoles present in market. The developers are showing about seven new releases this week ahead. Medal of Honor: Airborne is one of them that is poised to make its debut on PC & Xbox360 today i.e. September 4th, 2007.
Multiplatform FPS title based on WWII, MOH: Airborne is the 11th installment in the critically acclaimed Medal of Honor series.
In Medal of Honor: Airborne players step into the boots of Boyd Travers, a paratrooper in the US 82nd Airborne Division and engage in battles throughout Europe. With an intense and fully interactive airdrop, each mission begins behind enemy lines. Teaming up with fellow soldiers, the player pursues three objective points graphitized on the map, and you need two of your teammates to capture it.
While parachuting in, you are able to look down and see where everyone is on the map so that you can maneuver landing of your parachute on a rooftop for an ambush.
Few key features of the game are:
• 1-4 Player multiplayer capability
• First in the series to focus on paratrooper activities
• Radically modified Unreal Engine 3 for a nonlinear gameplay style
• A wide range of weapons (M1 Garand rifle, Springfield M1903A4 sniper rifle, Thompson submachine gun, M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, Sturmgewehr 44 assault rifle, Mauser C96 pistol, etc)
• Intuitive AI system
Fully interactive Airborne experience is scheduled for September 4th release on PC and Xbox360 across North America, whereas on September 7th in Europe.
