Those eagerly awaiting the Mega Man 9 have another playable character waiting in the wings. This character is none other than Mega Man’s brother – Proto Man. Capcom has announced that Proto Man will join the cast via paid DLC. The character will become available on October 6th and will go for a price of $1.99 on PSN. Other than that, Proto Man can also be had for 200 Wii points or 160 MS Funnybucks. Proto Man has controls and abilities that are very much similar to those of his blue brother. In Mega Man 9, however, Proto Man would be able to perform characteristic attacks including slide and charge attacks; and as much is confirmed by two screen shots that have surfaced. In addition, Proto Man brings to the table an ability to deflect most of small shots with his shield, and an enviable scarf! By the way, is it only me, or someone else too who finds this tradition of detailing DLC even before the game has been released annoying; especially when DLC and the title are to be released close together.
