Here’s a necessary dissipation of a five dollar bill. You have to have Mega Man II on the iPhone solely to see how the blue bomber responds to the magical ‘touch’. Capcom has released its NES darling Mega Man II for iPhone/iPod Touch. The game has reportedly been tweaked for the platform and that’s good since you’d want to be precise while using those special weapons. However, the virtual joystick that’s been highlighted in some of the screens makes me dubious about the whole “rebalance” claim. Obviously the iPhone is not a place to test frustrating controls since that’d inevitably lead to a sorry action at some point of the time. Anyway, this port of Mega Man is 13.5 MB in all, and, as already pointed out, is priced at $5. That, however, could escalate (as some serious repair charges) if you get stuck with a friggin boss. So be forewarned before spending that money.
