The new prices for Microsoft’s middle range Xbox 360 console have been announced. Microsoft has slashed the prices by $50 and also has a larger storage capacity. The 20GB hard drive, which was priced $350, will now cost $299 and the storage capacity of the hard drive has been increased to 60 GB. This means users can enjoy significantly higher space to store movies, TV shows and of course games. Microsoft might also allow streaming movies and TV episodes through a high-speed Internet service offered by Netflix Inc. The prices for the high end and basic versions of the Xbox 360 have not been altered. The price changes could also have been due to competition from Nintendo, Sony etc. The low priced Xbox 360 might be in stores by August.
