'Mii' is still an unfinished journey, 'MySpace' is the final destination

Personality is 10% skin and 90% nerves. If this was not the case then why would a herd of sheep look alike but a group of human are all individuals having their own personality?

A person differs from another of his species by his thinking and how he portrays his feelings either verbally or through some other medium. Though his appearance plays a minor role in the initial stages it only contributes a fraction to his vast personality.

'Mii'( pronounced 'me') is an avatar module built into the Wii system wherein players choose from several prebuilt designs or use the game's controls to create their own, and which represents the player in several Wii games.

According to gaming industry analyst Richard Doherty, research director for Envisioneering Group, it was a smart move by Nintendo. He said:

Absolutely. Within a year, the Wii may be the most successful and valuable social-networking community on the Web.

And the Miis are so popular that they're getting their own Wii channel.

Nintendo's launch of a Mii-centric channel is part of the company's ongoing drive to make its Wii system not only a gaming platform, but also a compelling content-delivery tool.

Obviously, Mii is the latest drop from the cloud of technology and it has posed a question over the relevancy of old methods used by a person to create a seperate identity for himself in the world of web.

But I see no storm approaching. If 'Mii' could topple 'MySpace' then obviously the butterflies would rule the jungle.

'Mii' is a raindrop compared to the vast ocean called 'MySpace'.
