Namco Bandai President thinks PS3 launch delay is inevitable

GamaSutra reports that the president of Namco Bandai Holdings, the company that is developing titles for Sony's upcoming next-gen console PlayStation 3, has reportedly told Bloomberg news service in an interview that it would be impossible for Sony to launch the PlayStation 3 in spring 2006, as the company continues to insist it will.

Takeo Takasu, President, Namco Bandai said;

Without any announcements so far, the spring release is impossible. We are developing titles for PlayStation 3, but the release of the games depends on the timing of the hardware.

Well, if we look at the signs, it may well be true that we can only look forward for a Japanese launch of the PS 3 in December and next year in the US.
