All of us were pining for the launch of a beefier version of Microsoft’s gaming console Xbox360 Elite. Microsoft had scheduled Xbox360 Elite launch on April 29, and just few hours ago, it made its debut with bigger HD drive, HDMI cable port, and a black finishing instead of the white one on existing versions.

As the minute hand hit the 1200 hours, the crowd went wild to score one Xbox360 Elite for a mere $479.

Xbox360 Premium bundle is the next-gen console that is commonly the white Xbox360 with a HD drive having 20GB space, component video cable and no built-in HDMI.

The Xbox360 owners, who want to upgrade their console’s storage capacity, can buy separately the 120GB hard-drive as an accessory for $179.99.

Microsoft has made an effort to expand the Xbox360’s capabilities beyond gaming arena by adding some new and enhanced features that make it an alternative to devices like the Apple TV and can store music ripped from audio CDs or digital photos, and connects to the PC with Windows XP to enable you to run digital content between your PC and entertainment system.

Xbox360 is selling with a mixture of reaction. Some of the gamers are calling it a greatest hit while others, a big failure.
