Nintendo announces SD card storage support for the Wii

Bradley WintOct 3 2008

Nintendo has announced that they plan to implement the usage of SD cards to assist in the storage of the Wii's software. They came up with this idea to resolve a major issue with the Wii; Storage. Having the software on the SD cards would be beneficial in transferring software from Wii to Wii, or just for general storage sakes. This technology is due for release sometime in Spring 2009. Since most standard SD chips have 2GB worth of storage, you might want to stock pile on a bunch of these in case you have more than 2GB's worth of stored data on your Wii.
