Super Smash Bros Brawl topped UK sales charts this week being the third fastest ever selling Wii Title in the Grand ‘Ol UK. That is, behind the Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii. They also topped the combined formats chart now becoming the fourth Nintendo title to do so. Super Smash Bros pulled ahead of EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company on Xbox and PS3. With the Wii reeling in half of the top ten this week, are we seeing a shift in gaming going from the acclaimed PS3 and Xbox to a more robust new Nintendo System? Something else which solidifies this fact is the Wii Fit which saw a 643% increase in sales as stock of the game was replenished for the second time this month. Although 7/10 are Nintendo, a few other companies are still holding on as Nintendo still manages to dominate the charts.
Overall, the Wii system did pretty decent with 12 in the top 40 with the Xbox 360 and the DS following closely with 10 and 9 then the PS 3 coming with only 7 and one for the PSP. Then only 1 comes for the PS 2 and none for the PC. I believe it is safe to say that there is something going on in the favor of the Wii this month. We could be in store for something great this year. For the top 10, see the list below.

5) Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Haha Wii Fit, it still surprises me how that game ever got popular. I used to think it was a parody on YouTube to realise it was real :O
I didn’t think it would catch on as much as it did. I thought it would be a fad or something like that. But apparently I’m wrong.
