Games on one console are often missing from others. Gamers have to depend on gaming companies to arrive with versions of the same game playable on different consoles. Gamers have always felt the necessity to integrate the consoles so that game on one can be easily downloaded on the other.

To make its DS business more profitable Nintendo might soon allow the owners of Nintendo Wii owners to download games on to Nintendo DS handheld consoles. Details of the new project have not been made public yet. Nintendo America's President and COO, Reggie Fils-Aime has said that the future DS devices will be integrated to the Wii consoles.
Games can be downloaded on Wii over its broadband connection and then transferred wirelessly to DS. It is not clear whether all exciting DS games will be downloaded using Wii.
