Nintendo gamepad for PC – No modding required!

Gagandeep SharmaSep 29 2008

There are like hundreds of guides floating on the web to help you make Nintendo controller compatible with a PC. These are useful only to the extent that you know your electronics. Does that mean that the unfortunate among us would never be able to join a retro Nintendo gamepad to our PC? Of course not. Here’s a readymade NES-inspired gamepad – the JC-U2208TRD – that connects to your PC via a USB. On sale for $18 here, this one looks simple and old-school, and quite clearly carries such charms. And it does not come with a pathetic short cable that used to be a pain in the ancient days; instead a 6 ft long cord allows you to sit at a desired distance from the screen. There are 8 buttons in total and of these 4 are configurable (and yes, there is autofire too). NES fans may order one and relive their memories of the old console while maneuvering latest PC games with it.
