This November, Nintendo will start selling the first Wi-Fi-enabled games for its handheld DS console. It has linked up with hotspot providers to provide 7,500 free Wi-Fi locations across the UK, including McDonald's outlets, student unions, train stations and football stadiums.

Though it will be free to gamers, Nintendo may charge for premium games, or for downloading new games direct from the Wi-Fi network.
Nintendo is doing a similar deal in the US and users in the UK can play their US counterparts on the free Wi-Fi connection.
