Next Generationmagazine has declared Satoru Iwata as 2007’s Man of the year. Iwata was the man behind Nintendo’s resurrection into one of the leading companies in video gaming. After he became the CEO of Nintendo, he has got the company reaching the top spot in gaming market. When Wii, the most popular video game console right now, was introduced, Iwata was at the top position. He had a good foresight of the future and he only decided on investing money on this product. Indeed, the product was a success.
It’s high time that a guy like him, whose work is mostly behind the scene, is given such big credit. He brought high quality and changed the face of Nintendo all over the world. He showed the way on how to develop such ethnic 3rd party relationships with other industries.
Though many feel unconvinced on his selection, some are of the notion that he should have had this award a year back when Wii was introduced. Yet, it’s not too late for this businessman. He took a risk and its paying off. He deserves all the awards just for this reason, bringing back Nintendo to its glory days.
