Perpetual Entertainment has stopped working on its ambitious project ‘Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising‘ making online gamers disappointment. The traditional genre which is based on ancient Roman civilization, has been scheduled to release during the first quarter of 2008. However, the company has put aside the project indefinitely.
The developer has sidelined Gods and Heroes to focus on Star Trek Online and company’s Online Game Platform business.
Chris McKibbin, President at Perpetual Entertainment explained,
The Perpetual team is faced with a unique challenge of simultaneously developing both Gods & Heroes and Star Trek Online in addition to growing our Online Game Platform business. After assessing all of Perpetual’s opportunities, we have made the decision to put the development of Gods & Heroes on indefinite hold.
The developer had very earlier decided to release the game in Q4 in 2005 and then delayed its launch. The game was then slated for release in Q1 of 2008.
The company has finally decided to hold the development indefinitely to focus its upcoming Star Trek Online.
