Director of Public Relations for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has finally cast aside the speculations that had been rife regarding the international release date for the fourth edition of the Metal Gear enterprise and announced that the latest version from the stealth gaming series will indeed be out in Europe, North America and Japan on the 12th of June, 2008. The hugely-anticipated game will also contain the Metal Gear Online Starter Pack, a 16 player online squad-based tactical shooter. For the MGS enthusiasts who show enough foresight to pre-order the game in the US after April 2008 will have exclusive access to the MGO Beta program and will be eligible to receive a “Metal Gear Saga 2.0” DVD that contains tons of cool bonus content along with instructions for downloading the beta though we have no word as yet on when the beta will be made available in Europe.
