Why do consoles have all the fun? Ah! That’s supposed to be a paradox. Anyway why bother with philosophy when there’s good news to tell. Guitar Hero World Tour is being hacked for PC and Mac and will find its way on to the platform this summer. Activison’s trusted ally Aspyr Media is on the job and doing its best to deliver those make-believe musical instruments for PC gamers. The game would have offline and online features and a “Music Studio feature for composing and editing original rock and roll anthems.” The online mode gets a whole lot interesting with a “Battle of the Bands mode” allowing eight players to groove and battle for supremacy. There would be the usual career mode for single players with an option to utilize any of the in-game instruments. Artists galore with 86 on-disc tracks from the likes of Metallica, The Eagles, Van Halen and The Doors. Hit the link for the press release. By the by exciting times for the Mac owners, isn’t it?
