In a press release, Pontiac informed that it will intrude the Second Life world next month with debuting a land mass called Motorati Island to set up Second Life phenomenon here. For that Pontiac has purchased a 96-acre section of the world to create a 'car culture' within the community. The funny thing about the island is that Pontiac is providing the land free of cost for the residents.

Capitalists hope to create their own projects regarding car culture that will provide a chance to the participants to show their creativity. Mark-Hans Richer, marketing director at Pontiac says:
Our mission is to work with the Second Life community to create a place for car lovers that doesn't exist today. You will be able to visit a Pontiac dealership on the island where you can customize a Solstice GXP and then even drive it on a high speed test track. The island will even have its own microsite
