Good old Namco arcade classics are everyone’s favorite and Pac-Man is sure to be a top one for everyone, barring rare exceptions. That is exactly why we are all joyous at the latest mod that we’ve stumbled upon. The “PACMAN Mini” hack is a kind of portable console, exclusively dedicated to playing Namco’s TV games. A 2.5” Intec game screen holds all the fun and four AA batteries mean a playing time of up to 2.5 hours. It is a pity that there’s no sound but on the plus side, the mod has been working fine for over 9 months now. Designed by Sam Thornley, PACMAN Mini looks kind of bulky but the appearance goes well with its old-school credentials. The picture output on the portable looks very good indeed and considering the mod took just two weeks to make, we can but wonder at the creativity involved. More images follow.
