Seems there would be little of horror this fall. So much was confirmed at GC 2008 as Project Origin was delayed to 2009. The game, which was earlier expected to be released later this year, it seems is still some time in the making. Monolith’s Dave Matthews would put the date at somewhere in Q1 of 2009. Clearly fans must wait out to see what exactly Alma is up to this time around. A sequel to F.E.A.R., Project Origin is again a survival horror FPS. Among the changes from the first outing, apart from the dropping of publisher Vivendi, is a change in the player-controlled character. This time around, player would take charge of a Delta Force operator named Michael Becket and try to hunt down Armacham’s president, Genevieve Aristide. Point Man is thus out but we do expect his powers to retained by the new character.
