Outgoing Sony exec Kutaragi has plans of treating the bad-mad-gaming-buffs with PlayStation 4 the in near future! Doesn’t it seem a bit awkward, since Kutaragi is taking a move to the side next month? But it hardly matters because Kutaragi’s future projects will be totally independent from Sony, as he has stated earlier.
No doubt, Sony practically confirmed the heir of PS3 console since December, when they responded to analysts predicting there may be no PS4, in the pipeline. But, who had thought that Kutaragi has kindled the torch already, just a month after PS3’s launch in Europe?
While sharing his ideas, Kutaragi didn’t specified any firm date, and hence still it seems to be a far-cry (currently, at least).

Kutaragi while sharing some tidbits with mediaperson, said that he keeps a vision of PS 4, 5, and 6, which will merge into the network.
As discussed numerous times, the PS4 will probably hit the market sometime in 2010, but there are more than enough issues that Sony is pondering upon, like PS3 cost-reduction and inclusion of cheaper processor chips.
Talking to EE Times, Kutaragi has already supplied Sony’s designers with ideas for cutting the cost of manufacturing PS3 and with design models for two years into the future.
Now, he is focused on exploiting the opportunities offered by connectivity that he wants to impose into network processor.
While the former president will still work with Sony’s future projects independently, Kutaragi is now looking to the evolution of the ‘Network’.
