ps3-price-cut_52Analysts have quite a pessimistic approach towards the PS3 that can be very easily assessed on the basis of comments made by them against Sony President Ryoji Chubachi’s recent statement. Ryoji says that the budgeting process for PS3 pricing and volumes would be re-examined as market forces and the competitive environment change.

I have gone through the half dozens of articles that state in very plain words that Sony has presently no plans to slash down the price of the PS3.

Though, I agree with the statement that confirms Sony has currently no specific plan to bring down the PS3’s price, but I believe it’s inevitable as Sony is sweating-hard to cut back the lead that Microsoft has already acquired with selling millions of Xbox360, meanwhile, the cheaper Wii is continue on its way with selling greatest number of consoles this month, as well.

It is for sure that in next one or two months, the company will lower down the price of PS3 since as Sony has announced early its plans to bring the PS3 with bigger hard drive, so it’s obvious that it would cost a bit more higher than PS3 high-end model and to deploy an adequate price tag or create a vacuum for PS3 with larger hard drive, the company needs to hack the price of its Premium PS3 console, at any cost.

No need to say that it’s because of its pricey interior (like Blu-ray) that makes it a bit expensive and apparent thing associated with PS3 is good sale of Blu-ray; as the sale of Blu-ray will catch fire, automatically PS3 sale will surge thrashing back sales figures of other two in the row. Moreover, PS3 is the console that has price reduction flexibility at par with Xbox360 and it’s Wii that shows greatest cost rigidity. Therefore, in near future the PS3 seems to fetch lots of business-sum for Sony.
