The guys keep on testing the efficiency of the consoles as it appears in the market. The studies made with all three consoles Wii, Xbox360 and PS3 reveals that PS3 and Xbox360 consume just 0-2W of energy while Wii eats hefty 8W while in standby mode.
The figures seem a bit phony but it is reality. The figures are quite different in case of operational mode that quip while playing any game the power consumption varies from console to console as per its OS and graphics ability. The test carried out on consoles with title Tiger Woods 07 that is least power eating title takes some 185-190 watts to run on PS3, Xbox360 takes 165 watts while Wii consumes the least 120 watts for same gameplay.
Wii’s least power eating capability is quite logical because of lack of HD graphics but HD graphics makes the new console too much power greedy that is rally a awesome number that came out on the surface after the examination.
However HD-graphics are fundamentally required feature but if it pays too little after eating too much power can appear as a hindrance to the next-gen consoles with HD graphics.
