Sony’s latest PSP may disappoint a few and though we can’t be too sure, doesn’t hold a number of promises. Sony has been rather reluctant to divulge further details. For now, we know that the FCC has conducted some tests on the PSP-3001 and the console may feature 2.4GHz spectrum and 802.11b WiFi. The console also lacks GPS, Draft-n, and even Bluetooth. The console looks pretty similar to the PSP Slim, which was launched earlier. The only people who may smile a spineless smile are the loyal fanboys, for whom the PSP-3001 is now not a rumor anymore but a product that has reached the FCC.
