We’ve seen quite a few mods where normal gadgets have been converted to touchscreen things. This one is no different, but this time it’s on your beloved PSP. This modder that goes by the name jube808 has modded his PSP to add a touchscreen facility to it. This touchscreen is pretty responsive and a application for a keyboard works fine with it. Though I feel that this app must be made better but maybe it’s still under work. It seems like jube808 will soon be selling kits for enthusiasts to convert their PSP’s boring non-responsive displays into a sweet responsive touchscreen, it’s like PSP does the DS jig. If the modder’s words are to be trusted then it seems like he had worked with companies like Hitachi, Sony, Seimens etc (directly or indirectly). To quote his reply to someone’s comment on Youtube:
Can Sony do it?, well maybe, but to my credit I am a professional electronics designer, have worked indirectly with Sony on their industrial robots and have circuits in the field with Siemens, Hitachi and others. So if Sony do it, I’m pretty sure they wont make a better job.
