Sega has finally confirmed a new sequel in the decade old Puyo Puyo! series. New Puyo Puyo! title has been announced exclusively for Wii that will makes its debut on coming July 26th in Japan.
Puyo Puyo is the puzzle series that was a big hit in Japan and Korea. The same puzzle game first arrived in North US, decades back in 1991 under the name Puyo Pop.
The Wii exclusive version of Puyo Puyo! has two modes, Puyo Puyo Together and Remote Controller Puyo Puyo. The former lets two players solve the same puzzle on the same field at the same time while the latter on will require the use of a Wii-mote per player.
Included features are:
• Single player mode
• Wii controller mode in which a player uses two Wii-motes to play
• Co-op mode in which players must work together to erase the blob lines
• Versus multiplayer mode for up to 4-players
However, there is no information about new puzzle’s Wii-Fi multiplayer mode like Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary (DS) possesses. Another thing that still undercover is its availability outside Japan (because Sega has announced the title for Japanese market, only).
