Race Driver 2006 for PSP now

Codemasters has announced that it would bring its highly acclaimed Race Driver series, a.k.a. TOCA Race Driver, to PSP. Race Driver 2006 is set to arrive for the PSP this May.

The major part of Race Driver 2006 will be the usual racing with other cars. However, this time it will be up against a maximum of 21 cars on-screen at once.

The game offers:

a) Realistically modeled performance cars,

b) Damage physics,

c) Wireless multiplayer support for up to 12 racers.

Race Driver 2006 includes quite a few racing modes:

a) GT Sports Car Racing,

b) Street Racing, Rally,

c) DTM, V8 Supercars,

d) Global GT Lights,

e) Rally Cross,

f) Formula Ford,

g) Open Wheel Grand Prix,

h) Classic Car Racing,

i) Super Truck racing,

j) Stockcar Oval Racing,

k) Ice-Racing,

l) Convertible Racing, and

m) Performance Car events.

In addition to the full Career Mode from TOCA Race Driver 2, you can play Trans-World Cup mode in the PSP title. This is for shorter races for those who want to have a quick gaming session.

The game has 50 available cars for you to choose from.

This includes:

a) Buick Gran Sport 455,

b) Pontiac Firebird Formula 400,

c) Dodge Charger,

d) Gemballa GTR 750 EVO,

e) Koenig GT, and

f) Koenig GTD.

The North American Race Driver has 10 new tracks making the total number of circuits to over 60.

So, finally we can play one of the most exciting racing games in PSP now. I wonder why it took so long for it to cross over to PSP. It is surely going to bring some real freshness in and with the new features for the PSP version of Race Driver series, it seems like it's going to be a killer.
