I was surprised when I heard that Red Octane is still working on bringing downloadable content to the Wii version of Guitar Hero III. Activision's Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, unlike other versions, it also lacks the ability for players to download new song additions, but according to a customer support letter, the feature is still planned to be integrated in the future.

Red Octane stated that, downloadable content for Wii is something on which company is working very hard, so that the company can make its place in the New Year. Since there is no set timetable, but the company is trying to release it soon.

In order to release the game early, Activision is working with Nintendo to implement all those features and it is believed that the storage is one of the main barriers in implementing all those features.
