When the original game came out in late 2002 on GameCube, it was an instant hit with fans of the franchise. Now Capcom is all set to bring the gory zombie shooter, Resident Evil Zero (BioHazard 0 in Japan) to its flagship console, the Wii. This port from the Gamecube exclusive will be titled as BioHazard 0: Wii Edition and is expected to make full use of the Wii’s unique controls. There might not be a big difference in the graphics however, as it is a direct port. Coming to the story, as players of the original might already know is about the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team sent on an investigation from reports of nasty creatures devouring the residents of Raccoon City. You could play as any of the two characters Rebecca Chambers or convict Billy Coen. The Wii Edition will be released only in Japan, this might obviously turn out to be a big disappointment for Wii owners outside of Japan. The previous two Resident Evil games on the Wii estimated to having sold over 800,000 units combined. No doubt this latest port will also add to the success of the franchise.
