Resident Evil is currently undergoing a Wii-make. The GameCube version of Resident Evil 1 is supposed to hit Wii on December 5. Now, a lot of people were excited about the game, but they are in for a disappointment. Unfortunately, like Resident Evil Zero, this one’s staying in Japan. Capcom’s VP Strategic Planning & Business Development Christian Svensson wrote in company’s forum:
At the moment, like Zero, this is Japan only. That could change but that’s the current situation.
He also went on to say that the Japanese release of RE Zero did some serious business. Perhaps this is the reason that Capcom is going in for en exclusive release in Japan. Anyway with Mega Man on its way to Wii, the only people who’d loose sleep over this news are the real hard-core fans of RE series. But then note ‘that could change’.
