REVIEW: WarioWare: Smooth Moves

Yashpal SharmaFeb 6 2007

When Nintendo produced its latest action and puzzle game named WarioWare: Smooth Moves, I think Nintendo would have never thought of such a great success of game title. The previous well celebrated titles of Nintendo like Legend of Zelda and Pokemon started feeling heat at its own kin by WarioWare and finally were outperformed by its own associates.

The game depicts Nintendo's effortless attempt that entertain you the most with imbibing you to the core.

Game Plot:

One that I think you better know is its non-availability of game plot in the game. Since every game starts with new and zero level. This one as well inherits characteristics of its predecessors. The game is a fine collection of microgames based on simple actions which usually last fewer than five seconds each.

Each microgame comes in rapid sequence with giving some instructions to the player with which the gamer has to carry the game forward. If player makes consecutive four mistakes in the course of one set of microgames, they have to start over from the beginning of the game. This is all fun allied with WarioWare: Smooth Moves.

Gameplay:

While starting with the game, firstly you need play single mode game for at lest half an hour to enter the multiplayer mode. The motion sensing Wii-mote plays a vital role while playing different rapid rounds.

Few games makes includes balancing a protagonist on balloon holding a stick and you have to maintain the balance of protagonist with balancing your Wii-mote horizontally with your both hands.

While some other game makes you shake the remote in up and down direction like you do while opening a Champaign. Other includes your body or you can say your waist to keep the ring circulating on your waist.

The game also contains some multiplayer games as well where you and your partner can share a Wii-mote and an attached Nunchuk to share some good moments with your partner.

Sometimes controlling the ingame obstacles can be a bit frustrating but as you go on with the game for a longer time, you acquire expertise in the game and enjoy the game infinitely.

Price: $63.75

Pros:

Single and Multiplayer mode

Flawless Wii-mote and Nunchuk support

No. of characters and stages

Easy game way-in

Artistic creation

Pleasant graphics

Cons:

Low audio quality

Casual game like appearance

Some games don't work (out of total 200+ games)

Bottom-line:

No doubt the game is worth buying but somehow the game fails to fill the void for an original Wii title with depth that WarioWare: Smooth Moves doesn't have. The title is god enough to fascinate new audiences but would find bit complications to disperse it in veteran Wii fanboys.
