A rumor has surfaced that Nintendo could be possibly unveiling an updated version of the DS with features including wider viewing screens, both of which would be touch sensitive. We would want to believe this rumor is true, since many top industry players have stated the same points. However, this upgraded version won’t be released until early next year. Having dual screens certainly puts a whole new twist on DS gaming. I certainly would like it, especially for strategic or RPG based games, where I could control multiple things at the same time. It seems like a really decent idea to have interactivity via both screens instead of just one, possibly keeping sales up for the DS during the coming year.
