Gamer Informer in its April issue has published an article on the changing name of Halo series. By all probability, the article in the magazine says the next Halo series which was till now supposed to come out as 'Halo 3' would not carry the numerical number any more. Neither would it sport the Halo trademark at all. The magazine predicts the new name for the game will be 'Forerunner.'

However, Bungie team members simply laughed off at the issue and they treated the rumor as an extended April Fool Joke.
