PS3 console went on sale in North US on 17th Nov. The launch day came with harmonious outcomes to Sony on launch day with the great sale. Sony has shipped 400,000 units to the US market to overcome the shortage of consoles in the region. But after all sweating attempts US gamers are facing some stock shortage around the region.
The shortage is no more the lagging the business of Sony since the Sony fanboys are showing drift towards veteran gaming console like PS2 and PSPs. The shortage of PS3 console in the region has helped sales of PS2 and PSP consoles boost.
SCEA has revealed the fact that top five retailers in US are reporting a continuous rise in the PS2 hardware sales of more than 115% and PSPs are hosting an exclusive 280% hit in the hardware sales.
Commenting on third party developers SCEA said that a PS2 sale has taken a jump up to 120.6%.
Sony is left behind with European launch that has been postponed to March 2007, Sony is hoping a lot from EU launch too. However Sony has not revealed yet the accurate analysis about the PS3 consoles sold in US on 17th Nov. They will be revealing the stats soon until then the gamers can have a lot of fun with either PS3 or old consoles.
